MAASDIJK – We are proud to announce that our LaBella Dahlia Grande Chocolate Apricot has been selected as the Victoriadahlia of the Year 2026 in Sweden.
This special distinction is awarded annually by Blomsterfrämjandet, the Swedish organization dedicated to promoting ornamental plants. The winning variety is selected based on extensive practical experience from growers, who evaluate criteria such as ease of cultivation, plant health, flower quality, and a long, reliable flowering period.
LaBella Dahlia Grande Chocolate Apricot impressed the judges with its double apricot-colored blooms, dark foliage, and outstanding performance throughout both the production and consumer phases. Its combination of striking ornamental value and dependable growth made it the clear favorite for 2026.
In addition to promoting the selected dahlia variety, the Victoriadahlia campaign also supports a charitable cause. For every plant sold, a contribution is made to Crown Princess Victoria’s Fund, which supports meaningful recreational activities for children and young people with disabilities or chronic illnesses.
As an additional honor, the Victoriadahlia 2026 was displayed at the entrance of Solliden Palace, the summer residence of the Swedish royal family on the island of Öland.
